I added some text to the "recommended actions" section per Cindy's request.
I also did some reformatting of the Relevant News section page.
I added a link to the 14 page legal opinion about cell phones, cameras, and other disruptive technologies that Crystal found and is using for her "relevant law" section report.

I added Amarillo's policy.
I sent Wes the article entitled Cell Phones, Cameras and Other 21st Century Intrusions Into Learning. He is going to post it to our website.

I have trried to post all my articles that I have looked up. I hope they work. I do have the originals if we need them. Cindy
I created a new section called "Recommended Actions" with some ideas for what we should conclude and recommend.
We will need for some folks to actually draft policies addressing cell phone use by students and bullying / harassment.
The main weak point right now for our materials seems to be the existing case law / statutes section. I did add links to the current House and Senate bills relating to bullying that Dr H mentioned during class last week, that are under consideration by the legislature. We need to add more info / links / resources in that section I think.
It looks like it will work well for each person to take 1 section of the website for our presentation. I would probably prefer the news/issues (item #2) topic, but I can be flexible and take something else if needed.
I added Plains & Denver City policy. The DC principal said that his sister-in-law was at Greenwood and told me about that policy.
I added to the presentation ideas.
I still don't have the link part of this figured out. I'll keep trying. Cindy
I added Lamesa's polices. I also added policies from Richardson, TX.
I added three more articles- one from Hyde Park, one from San Antonio, and one from Fox News.-Stacy
Well, I have created the skeleton of the wiki content, and found a bunch of news articles (9 in fact) that are presently organized in 4 categories. This seems to be a good start. The initial 5 sections of our wiki I have setup include:
1. ScenarioDescription
2. NewsArticles
3. RelevantLaw
4. DistrictPolicies
5. PresentationIdeas
I'll email out everyone's userid and password now via webct-- let me know if/when you have questions! Hopefully this will be a valuable tool for us in getting our project info together over the next several weeks.
